Meet Dr. Saqib Shahab - a medical expert dedicated to public health. and son of Qudrat ullah Shahab
He studied medicine in Pakistan and later went on to pursue advanced studies in public health in the UK.
Moved to Canada in 2003 and got into public health.
Appointed as Chief Medical Health Officer (CMHO) for Saskatchewan, Canada in 2012. He's held the position ever since.
• As the CMHO, Dr. Saqib Shahab is responsible for overseeing the province's public health programs and policies, and for providing advice and guidance on public health matters.
• During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Saqib Shahab has played a crucial role in guiding the province's response to the crisis.

• Dr. Saqib Shahab has been recognized for his leadership and dedication in guiding the province through the pandemic. In 2020, he was named one of Saskatchewan's "most intriguing people" by the Saskatoon StarPhoenix newspaper.
